Got to be said everyone we're talking Wikipedia, smoke and mirrors, illusions and mirages while we sign no one, nobody seems to be coming and we're leaking players! But don't worry the club have announced this weeks lottery winners and we'll always have the Mitsubishi Mongrel Cup!

I can't find any transfer news regarding Salford players leaving or coming in. The names I can find mentioned as leaving are the ones we knew about weeks ago and Tommy Lee, which is no major shock because he's been unfit for large chunks of the last two seasons

I think the websites saying people were leaving were the 18th Man and Serious About Rugby League and also Total RL. Hope that helps rednotdead.

MK said on his Twitter that he was hoping that four players will sign shortly. He didn't say who they were, he was replying to someone asking about new signings.

Adam walker and zak hardakre being mooted in various sewing circles. I'd take both.

Hardakers not for me ok is a good player but a bit of a bell, which we've moved away from. Do we need him, if Lui is off then move GOB to SO and put Evalds at FB. If true this would obviously prove the Evalds rumour to Leigh.
Adam Walker would be a good signing along with Brinning, we then just need a decent centre.
Some might not agree but I'd move Dobson as Wattos assistant and go for Brierly.

Dobson is someone you'd think would progress into a decent coach and I'd love to see if we can keep him until say 34 and then start him on the coaching pathway for when he hangs up his boots.
Greg Bird would have been an immense signing, the type of on field leader I still feel we need and no little skill.

Hoping this is correct as we've been behind the eight ball starting this late. If they're quality it may provide motivation to stay for anyone still tempted!

Thought that might go down well :-)
Hope we don't get Hardaker though

We're a better team with O'brien at full back than Evalds. GOB just offers more. Evalds has the potential to be a great winger I believe Hardaker is defensively impressive and is a strong runner with good hands. He could be a superb centre for us. He's plenty of experience playing there. I think Carney or Evalds could score a hatful playing outside him and if his head is right he'd be an improvement on J Griffin (even though I'm a big fan of his) I don't know lots about Hardakers attitude. I know labout the famous stuff - the homophobic abuse, the off field fighting but I do not know how he went from man of steel to his indifferent form this season. That is the only concern I have about him. Leeds seemed to get better once he left so he may have been disruptive or it may have been nothing to do with that. I'd be worried that if he wasn't amazing In his first few games then the usual fans would get on his back and that may get to him Overall I would be delighted if we could get him

I'm not doubting his capabilities and skills, I would love a player of that quality in the side and you make a very good point on the position change to centre. But for me the negatives you list far out way the positives, we've all seen first hand what disruption in the dressing room does to a team. We've moved away from that and have a squad of close knit individuals that all seem to get on, the last thing we need is to revert back to two seasons ago and then the off field circus rolls into town again. Just my opinion, based on footballing skills in a heart beat yes, but for the baggage do you want to take that risk......id steer well clear.

Phil Gould speaks very highly of him from his time at Penrith and says he expects him back in the NRL at some point, though I agree there are still nagging doubts about the off field antics. That said you'd hope Australia has woken him up to his potential again and that if he knuckles down he has all the potential in the world.
