Gutted that we haven't come away with 2 points, but we gave them an almighty fright.
For me, we conceded far too many penalties and made mistakes at crucial times...
O'Brien had 2 kick-off returns that went straight in to touch. Dobson's interception by Jodie Broughton ultimately lead to a Catalan's try. Too many missed conversions, although admittedly some of them we're quite tough. Sa'u knocking-on when he was clean through. Robert Lui knocking-on just after we took the lead. Carney made too many errors despite being strong in attack. We gave Jodie Broughton far too much space.
On a positive note, Josh Jones was great in attack and I thought Junior Sa'u was terrific despite his knock-on. That was his only blemish over the 80 minutes.
We could have won, but we made too many silly mistakes at crucial times.
Onwards and upwards!

Logan Tomkins deserves a mention today.
I thought today was one of his best games in a Reds shirt.

Agree with all of the above, I expected a drubbing today so pleasantly surprised yet gutted at the same time! Goes to show again we can mix it with anyone this season.

Watched on Sky and was presently surprised as fully expected a bit of a kicking. I though do think that we were lucky that Inu went off injured as he looked unstoppable and even by our backlines standards massive.
I don't know what's happened to BMM but he is a shadow of the players who started the season, we have to find a different way to get him into the game more, you only get a glimpse now of his potential and for me at the moment he's lucky to get into the starting 17, I'd look at benching him and starting Hauraki instead.
Something needs to be done about our restarts, putting one out on the full is a mistake anyone can make but twice in a game is criminal, don't remember how many times this season but I'd bet we have done it more than any other SL team, simply just going long left each and every time is predictable and allows the opposition to prepare for us.
It's good to see our backs getting so many tries and especially Junior as do think he should be getting more with his size and low centre of gravity near the line, the mind boggles just where Vidot/MCB/Johson and Evalds are going to fit in.
Think it's obvious that Robert Lui is the heart beat of the team, might be a bit premature but think he is the best signing I've seen at Salford in the Koucash era and possibly in the last 10 years, he just has the X factor that seems to terrify the opposition, sadly I don't see him being a Salford player long term, he's one who will go back to the NRL after a couple of seasons and become a star.
It was unfortunate that Wood went off injured as he looked like he is becoming more and more of an asset from dummy halve, if Tommy Lee's not near coming back would be good to see if peoples praise in Matt Wilkinson is justified, think more likely that Mark Flanagan might fill in if needed and Hauraki moves to loose forward.
Special mention to George Griffin, I'll be honest before the season I just didn't think he had it in him to move into the front row but for me he has been immense, think the better the weather and pitches he will come more and more into his own, bit of a master stroke moving him into the front row., you can see Josh at some point in his career moving into the forwards too and being just as successful.
Think it is important now that we cut lose on Saturday, will set up a very important part of the season where a cup run is highly likely and hopefully to cement a top 8 position before the billion points spanking comes from the RFL.
