Any idea when the new bridge will be open? Thought there was talk of it being mid May.
Remain to be convinced that this will have that big an impact at the end of home games, not that many Salford fans live in the direction that the new road will take you, Eccles/Salford/Walkden/Bolton types are all pretty much still going to be heading for the current junction near the Skoda dealership.

I believe they've fitted the main span of the bridge across the canal now. They're supposed to be starting joining up the new road to the existing A57 soon, but no idea how long that'll take. From what I've seen off the motorway bridge, it looks like the new road is pretty much done going past the stadium, not sure about the Trafford side though.

Been very close to the new bridge this morning
I must say it's a fantastic thing they are erecting should be great when everything is up and running.

Time lapse video of the new Cullina warehouse construction. player.vimeo.com/video/162943750You'd hope that someone at the club has already been on the phone to them about possible sponsorship deals and getting involved with the club, pretty certain Sale will do and with our season being current much better opportunity for people to be invited down to see what Salford are all about. The main one though for me will be Ikea, going to have a huge impact on the surrounding area with traffic and jobs, you'd think that they will be very interested in getting as much good will and publicity in the surrounding area as they can, we need to be in prime position for this. For me more than the first team this is an ideal opening for the Foundation to pitch the good work they are doing with the future of the club and the way they engage with the people of Salford to a huge multi national, they will have a huge budget when opening new stores and having the name associated with something so successful can only be a good thing for them.

It's not looking good the new bridge from what I've seen , major major delays for that thing! Thankfully nobody was hurt though.

Wonder how much effect this will have on the development around the site? Pretty sure that Peel had to get dispensation to build the new Culina warehouse despite the link Rd not being open, can't see Ikea, the new car dealership or the sports bar I've heard about getting permission to start construction for a good 12 months.
If you look at the pictures one of the main towers is badly damaged and can't see them being able to do anything until there has been an enquiry into what happened.
Still don't think the bridge will effect us that much, it's Sale with their fans coming clockwise on the M60 are going to find this causes more issues.

Reading that apparently the whole things to come down and a total rebuild is required.
You can't see that being anything but a lengthy delay, going to have a hell of an impact on everything in the area, pretty sure that no further building can be contemplated until the road access is complete. You'd think that it will have an impact commercially for both Salford and Sale.
