Well Bienek has a good job outside rugby so don’t think he will come Byrne if leaving looks like hull and there is no sign lafai is leaving as he wasn’t announced when we announced the departures!yes his wife put a post up about not wanting it to end but I genuinely think she just meant the season not his Salford career! He could do his IT job full time in his 30s, surely he's not going to sacrifice his rugby career and potentially winning something to earn a few extra quid in his 20s. If he wants to stay in London, who is he going to play for?

The club need to keep up momentum with announcing signings. It’s good for season tickets, Byrne would be great but we also need a solid hooker, I’m not sure Davies from London is the answer.

The talk off lafai leaving and mcdonald to SR on here is absolute drivel. Lafai, was offered a big contract only the other year and we rejected transfer fees from hull this season. He again has been epic and been part of the best centre partnership on SL. Macdonald to SR- No words, just a stupid post from someone that needs ignoring i think. Back line looks good with marsters coming in and I've come round to Macdonald moving back out to the wing tbh. Would be a hell of a threat in the air as well. Need to confirm nikorima at SO as he's done pretty good and think with a pre season will be better. Hooker, definitely need a running understudy to mellor Props, we need a few to replace those leaving and build on what we have. 2nd row, again agree with Wright moving back there and try to add another. Lf- Wright there would be a good option. Pack is main area for improvement and as we are losing out pack leader In partington we need to be very smart in who we get. Just please no more over 30s as the squad age needs to come down more.. Will be good to replace the ones leaving with players who may actually play. Crazy we had such a small squad and also carried sidlow, Dixon, helliwell, cust and forster who hardly played. The team must be absolutely knackered after the season wve had. Much younger and healthier players for next year please

No one knowns for sure but I would not be surprised if Lafai went home

If we let lafai go home the we are absolute mugs. One of the best centres we've ever had to leave because we need a prop would be utter madness. I think there are enough able bodies about to be able to get what we need. I refuse to belive it is beyond the wit of man to find props that can help improve us with the detrement of impacting our backline

Well apparently lafai wife has said her and the kids are going home and Tim will stay for his last year we’ve all heard that before
Btw McDonald to SR was only a suggestion and I thought people are allowed to have views and opinions on here …. If you look at the way McDonald plays he runs hard and isn’t afraid which is what’s needed in the front rows so either we get a few players in or we move someone also McDonald never sticks to his side he either moves around the field or when he has the ball he runs back into the middle so technically acting like a forward
We all know the strengths and weaknesses of the players so where’s best to put certain players when we’ve got them positions covered

The issue for me next year is that Watkins, Sneyd, Singleton, Brierley, Mellor, Lafai are getting to the ageing end of the spectrum and can we expect them to turn it on every week or even play every week?
Then we’re bringing v inexperienced players in Pye, Wilson, Lewis etc….is the gap too big?
For me Hankinson is being groomed for the 2nd row as Watkins was, Wright should be 13 and we’ve got to get Atkin playing interchange 13
Dilemma for me is Shorrocks…not sure where he should play…a bit of a disappointment in my eyes

No doubt a top player but wasn’t particularly a position we were weak in

We have 5 potential 13s and few props
Wright Lewis Wilson Atkin Shorrocks
If we can get the spine going as per the season before this Atkin is a must to bring on to rest the 13 and create another pivot…better than Shorrocks for me

We have 5 potential 13s and few props Wright Lewis Wilson Atkin Shorrocks Lewis is by far the best option! Atkin is a half and tbh seem unpopular with rowley now, Wilson to early, wright I’d love to see play his actual position sr Shorrocks has the ability but can be a little all over

I'm not overly convinced by Shorrocks. Tons of enthusiasm, but hasn't looked the part just yet. Maybe another year will see him find his groove. I hope so anyway.

In fairness to shorrocks he’s not a hooker and for some reason he has continually been played there!

One of the best centres we've ever had to leave because we need a prop would be utter madness. Ignoring the obsession with certain positions for a moment the only time Tim should leave is if and when he wants to.
TBH I think once the message gets home about just how bad things are in the UK NRL stars may become a thing of the past.

Let's leave the politics out of it please. There are 2 main competitions in the world with only limited starting spots in those elite teams. The opportunity of a being a professional rugby player to a number of our antipodean friends will always appeal if they aren't playing NRL.
