They say that points difference is a reflection on a team's performance. Our Points Difference is minus 32 as it stands which would typically put us around 7th or 8th in theory. Arguably this season or defence and ability to fight in games has won us points, however we've not scored as freely as other seasons. My view on this is down to the quality of our wingers, it's soley not losing Croft who was average for us last year. Sio in a poor Salford team scored 19 tries a few season's back he was outstanding. Burgess was sometimes indifferent last season but an upgrade on our present first choice wingers, both Sio and Burgess also made better decisions in backing up and yardage early on in the tackle count. We have two of the best centres in the league this year so should be scoring more points. I'd make signing an out and out winger a priority next year, Jacob Douglas from Wigan is worth a squad spot or perhaps with Marsters Rowls will move Nene out to the Wing. Either way we need improvement out wide next season in order to progress. Anyhow this season our play out wide needs to improve in the remaining games to score more points.

There’s no doubt McDonald is going to the wing next year we have 3 overseas centres next year so one of those is going to have to move!talk of masters to stand off but we have nikorima now so can’t see that happening the only other way things change if lafai does move to hull I know they had offered big money for him!

Lafai has 12 months left on his contract. I like Cross as a centre but not on the wing. For me Ryan hasn’t done enough yet to be a first choice winger, he defends well but doesn’t score enough tries. I can see why he was a squad player at KR yet his scoring for Bradford was exceptional.

Aj towse is worth a shot although I’m still saying props are the priority

AJ would be a great signing. What’s everyone’s thoughts on our wings this season?? Have we scored enough points ?? Is it a weakness ??

Well after yesterday its now plus. We need one win to get top 6 with four games left. We have to target Cats Home and Hull Away for wins. fourth place now has to be the target, I can only see Saints winning two of their last 4 games. Again, Cats will win possibly two of their last 4 which then logically means two wins and fourth. KR on Friday will be a massive test, we are not expected to win so can go there and look to perform to our best. Leigh will likely beat London today meaning they are right on the tails of Saints and Cats. Cats play Wigan next week so they may even drop out of the 6.

Wigan Warriors 36 Hull Kingston Rovers 35 Warrington Wolves 34 Salford Red Devils 29 St Helens 25 Leigh Leopards 25 Catalans Dragons 25 Leeds Rhinos 23 Huddersfield Giants 16 Castleford Tigers 13 London Broncos 7 Hull FC 6 how the league table would look, without golden point games.

If we manage to beat Hull next week then am predicting that we will be against Saints away as our points difference gives us a disadvantage.
That is presuming they get past Leigh in their final game.

That seems likely to be the scenario if we beat Hull.
Beat Saints twice lose to the Giants, it could only be SRD
