John, you are a sad and bitter old man JJR doesn't need me to defend him,but their is know need for asides like bitter old man I think the board are doing what they think is right but that doesn't give them a free pass, does that make me a bitter old man for saying that I might not agree with what someone says, but I will fight for their right to say it John can say what he wants and I have no issue with that but if he insults me and others then he should expect that folk will respond accordingly.

I think people absolutely misunderstand what they are entitled to know because we are a Community Club. There have been other examples of such clubs and I suspect their boards have suffered the same criticisms. The board is running a rugby league club.Do you see any other club in rugby league giving out as much information as people expect from our board. The answer is we are a Community Club but the Board have to carry out day to day work like any other Club. What do people want.Do they expect to know who we have approached to sign, how the negotiations are going, how much we are paying them.Do we expect to know which potential sponsors we are talking too, etc. They simply can't.They have to keep everything in house until it can be announced. Re-the stadium sure it's very frustrating. However, when we made a public statement semi-criticising progress a while back then there was a backlash about that. So an update every month saying nothing to see here is pointless. We know the Club Board are pushing as hard as they can for progress and they will tell us any news when they can.Don't forget there are other parties involved in the stadium so we can't just go off on one with our own agenda. I think the Club have for the most part been very open with important news and also you have to realise they can't respond to speculation. Patience is a virtue.

In my opinion without the massive input from Paul King, Andrew Rosler and others the conversation/posts on here would not be happening as there wouldn't have been a rugby club as we know it. Some of the comments on here are enough to make you weep and some people seem to take pleasure in winding people up and take pleasure in stirring things up. As an owner+ I get regular updates etc via emails, I am not on Whats App yet and I accept that there are items that I would like to know about but due to confidentiality the information must remain private until everything is sorted out.

What a week this clubs had, an Academy License, a new club store open in a great location, two new signings one who is class, Marsters. I’m beaming anyone after this week who can’t show gratitude towards the board is being a grade A 🔔🔚 We’ve had a brilliant week.

They aren't beyond criticism you know? I'm sure they would admit that to.
We seem to be descending into a strange herd mentality on this forum where anyone with a slightly different view on running the club just gets vilified. Some of the personal attacks are pretty sad as well tbh
We should welcome different views ( and yes criticsims), but everyone seems to want to shoot them down and tow the party line of it all being golden. These should be what we discuss and try to understand a balanced view as a set of fans.
Maybe its just that this platform isn't productive for these discussions.
Out of curiosity, is the Q and A's live on the internet as I live too far away? I've tried with stuff like this before and the club haven't had it setup for it, which has been frustrating.

Absolutely K, but remember the Lemmings jumped over the cliff
WRD, Rowley Blease and the coaching staff wonderful…even with best players being sold and fighting above their weight…

Criticism is acceptable.Harping on,misguided barbs about matters that can't be disclosed until the right time are unecessary.

So I ran into some who works for a local north west brewery who was looking and potentially had a good relationship with the club and during hard times ( past few years ) and I was told that this brewery spoke with the club and agreed certain payment plan which benefits both the club and the brewery to be a potential investor and or sponsor before certain events in past few years during the hard times and that the club in particular a certain person … no names named here sent a legal letter that this potential sponsor and investor had missed a payment even tho the club had already agreed with said investor/sponsor to a different payment plan which soured the relationship with the sponsor which could be a huge benifical for both club and sponsor also potential investor
So even tho we say we are community based club we like too scare off any potential investors or sponsors with legal letters because of Covid times and everyone else struggling instead of upholding the agreed terms and that everyone was struggling during the difficult times

Just wondering as I’ve received a email about the meeting and stuff from the other week . It mentions that the newly elected board members will meet and you can look up who the members are but it doesn’t tell you who got elected to what Like I’m sure certain people are only elected for 1 year and up to 3 years or am I mistaken ??

It doesn’t tell you how long they are in the position for I’m not sure why that matters but if you need to know I believe Shirley and John will serve 3 years; Ryan, Niven and Luke two years and David one year. Not sure about Heather but probably 2 or 3. I’ll stand corrected if I’m wrong
