Should have stepped up when they went down to 12 men but typical Salford does the opposite
Some questionable ref decisions but when the opposition throws the ball around our wingers and centres all come in and leave massive gaps open which led to Tui try we can’t adapt during the game and we stick to the plan of wingers leaving big gaps open
Either way a wins a win and it’s looking good being towards the top of the table

We were poor when they were down to 12 but they got some key decisions which lead to problems we shouldn't have had.A perfectly good try disallowed for obstructionin the 1st half and they then break and Brierley is binned.
We win a scrum against the head legitimately and that ends in their 1st try.I also think the grounding on Tui's try was debatable.
Still a really good performance for 70 and 2 points.

Also looks like 2 injuries mellor and shorrocks that’s as far as I could tell, very happy with cust at the 9 position looks like he’s settling nicely

And I wouldn't have king back in next week either, thing those that came in did a job, as for Mellor and Shorrocks hopefully it's nothing too serious, Mellor would definitely want to run out at LSV next week

In boxing it would have been saved by the bell or we nearly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.But at the end of the day we got two points that's all that matters so they say.

I thought our victory was thoroughly deserved. Some strange refereeing decisions had an impact. I thought the Huddersfield winger was unlucky to be sent off but Brierley’s disallowed try was a mystery to me.
An excellent result. If anyone had told me that we’d be joint top of the table after ten matches I’d have suggested they’d got a serious problem! 😊

Hearing that mellor has broken his hand not sure how true but hoping it’s not Paul Rowley confirmed Joe mellors had broken it in his post-match interview. I'd guess that's 4-6 weeks out. |

McDonald amazing of course, seems to be fitting in the structure as well…questioned why he was bought…but a beast, was really wrong
I can’t understand Brierleys positioning at times…doesn’t cover across th3 back line
Th3 Swift try, he seems to be day dreaming, unaware of the threat and way out of position….Lolohea try down the middle nowhere to be seen, Bibby try no cover across the back. He’s our last line of defence but…
Did have a good first hour tho…don’t understand it
Was Nofu around….maybe not fitting in

Might need to dip into the loan market shorrocks and Mellor both injured we can cover them but leaves us very thin

Bouroh is a good player, Hankinson will make a great second row as Watkins has and Dixon covered well at prop or 13
It might even be time for 10 minutes from Sidlow….5 in each half that is

Foster should be way in front on Hank |
