Just been listening to the Cat match on 5live in the car with Rowley analysing the game…got in TV on and then the drone of the Chuckle Brother saying nothing of interest at all and repeating himself continually…come on Sky anybody can do better than this…please

This is almost certainly Toulouse's last hurrah I would imagine.
Feel sorry for any fan losing in a semi, but there are a few Bradford fans on the Total forum I won't be shedding tears for. The assumption that the Bulls are a better fit than SRD as come up on numerous occasions as well as the idea that they belong there.

I'd like both teams to become a success in their markets but I'm not sure they ever will. Toulouse gaining traction would be good for the game in France and eventually the international game. We're starting to see Catalan bring through some very promising youngsters. We need a better international product and calendar to attract more money in TV deals and provide additional opportunities to sell advertising. A few good players have come through the programme in London and it'd be great if they could build a successful pathway in a new catchment. I'm not convinced either will do. I think Toulouse are the most likely to be able to develop into a staple SL team.

Joking aside, it is great to have sponsorship for wheelchair, PDRL etc. but without the three men's leagues, what will we have?

So having just Googled it I'd guess around ÂŁ1.25m a year. 2019 deal was ÂŁ1m and this is a 25% increase. So considering this deal is supposed to cover men's, women's & Wheelchair RL I imagine clubs will probably get about ÂŁ50 each out of the deal. |

I'm sure it's far less and as I've just mentioned on another thread I bet it's record breaking because of the breadth of sponsorship across the various formats. I'd be surprised if it was an increase for the main format and if so it isn't a lot. I wonder if the RFL engaged any other parties too.

It is very poor and a sad state of affairs. When I did the math on the TV deal from 2020 to now, it's a real-world reduction of 65%! Insane how the value can plummet so much.
I just use the BoE inflation calculator and ÂŁ1m per year in 2019 would be worth ÂŁ1.218m now. So the 25% increase is really far less in real terms. And, when you consider the wider sponsorship, it's less value.
