I don't think it is a fair comment. SRD were entitled to believe what they had repeatedly been told, that the stadium deal was agreed. With that in mind, they had sponsors on board, so they had the right to expect the deal would be done by now and that the money would be available. Malign influencers are determined to bring us down and it looks like they might have finally succeeded. Is that how the other clubs will see it ? That’s what matters I guess it depends on whether any of them see the potential for SRD's demise as being a short-term opportunity for them to pick up a few players on the cheap and not have to worry about being bottom of the rankings themselves next year, or if they look at the bigger picture and think about how letting a club fail might be the start of a whole raft of dominos toppling over

Or they will see a problem if Salford cannot fulfill their fixtures. Our Board however cannot keep blaming the stadium delay or Gobshite Garrido for financial black holes. Last year we were caught out when funding was pulled, it was unforeseen - this year we knew what was coming stadium deal or not.

The big issue with trying to get this advance is the other clubs rightly so are asking why have you continued to buy players if your so close to the edge, the sangare and bullock deals were certainly done in the last month when the club must have been aware of the mess we’re in!

this year we knew what was coming stadium deal or not Did we? or were we told that the deal was almost certainly coming within a certain timeframe, and hedged our bets on it, only to find that, for reasons which appear to be outside of the control of the club, its dragged on longer than anyone could have reasonably anticipated? Devil's advocate time: what was the alternative - make no investment on the playing front for next year 'just in case', despite the well-documented issues that the small squad caused us this year, the need to replace departing players and strengthen in certain areas. We've already had a couple of months of folk clamouring on here for news on that front and complaining that we hadn't announce new signings "when all the other clubs have already". Many of the folk who were complaining about that are the same ones now complaining that "we should have seen this coming" you can't have it both ways; the alternative is, sadly as others have said, to accept that we can't sustain a club at SL level and drop down into obscurity like numerous clubs before us have done, probably with little or no prospect of ever coming back. Surely it was worth throwing the dice and hoping that the plans will come good once we are able to give sponsors etc. a guarantee of what they can expect, and (allegedly) to sell lucrative billboard advertising rights.

If it's cash flow only it makes sense to get advance payment, rather than loan with interest. Others clubs and media will no doubt portray it as financial woes, but in fact we have been the best run club financially ( albeit by recording lowest loss), without backers other clubs would strugle, but yes being hypocrits they may see this as a chance to get one over on us. The advantage clubs with stadiums have is that they can generate income in the off-season, until the stadium is sorted, on good terms, we will always struggle with cash flow at this time of year. Also unforseen circumstances will also always occur, such as the employers NI rise, we will need to find as owner's. Can't help but feel the whole future of the club will be decided by the stadium outcome. Even so financial security often relies on confidence so these leaks and speculations are not helpful, which is why positive comments will help and no comment will do no harm. So please stop berating the people for not keeping everyone informed, the more people that know, the higher chance of mischievous or inadvertent leaks.

From what the club has put out recently it sounds like either they is a leak at the club or one of the other clubs ran to the press … it wouldn’t surprise me if we have a leak at the club tbh
Also is anyone else having trouble accessing the menu icon on the club website ??

One of them (probably from Yorkshire given who the author is) contacted the client journalist and gave him the ‘exclusive.’ And added his dismissive scorn on top. His objective is open to speculation. All part of the smiley fun loving RL family. 🤢 No leak at the club.

Well looking at the message from “leadership team” saying about confidential information does suggest that either they has been a leak or the leadership team says way too much to either rfl or another club before the big meeting

Does anyone know which sponsors have gone I’ve heard a few have either gone bankrupt or not happy with the club but can’t figure out which ones have gone

The player sales in that piece are old news or have absolutely no substance.
Click bait and misdirection for administrators with questionable motivation and pot stirrers!

Robbie farrah used to play for wests tigers and his business partner in Australia are looking for opportunities in super league to invest in let’s hope someone at the club is aware of this and could try and speak to them nothing ventured nothing gained!

In the meantime apparently some in SL are expressing concern about SRD and of course this has nothing to do with the available funds and players if a club went out of business or the fact the Bulls are waiting in the wings!
They are so obvious about everything they wish to hide.
