This yet another unhelpful piece designed to be provocative and dredge up old stories for effect rather than any relevance.
The RFL responding the way they always do and not dealing with the issue in house as well as the story being leaked in the first place is all too often the case.
The reason more hasn't been made of other clubs' financial difficulties is the dependence on investors to cover short falls etc.
Although he was proven correct it didn't help that JJR inferred and implied much but revealed little
We have always been a hand to mouth club and this will be used to relegate us in the end and we'll go out of business soon after if we're not in SL.
All the promise of what's to come or could be won't help.
A good season, a reasonable squad and a stadium guaranteed by mean little to IMG.
I've said all along that the delays were deliberate with one goal in mind and now it shows it's working.

Secondly I didn't say there was a conspiracy, it's been quite clear for quite a while how we're viewed in RL circles, However, if you're talking about the people who caused the delays they're not conspiring they're acting in plain sight.
As for the begging I'd say that probably means SRD are on the way out and I'm not going to any church for the last rites!

Well it looks as though the top clubs and rfl have finally got their way if we've got to leave super league surely there must be something we can do to stop the foresaid being smug

Basically O49 it’s our fault..we’ve been financially mismanaged by the sound of it. We can now see why we’re 12th in the IMG League table
I don’t think we’re arguing with each other mate…I think we’re all in shock and upset as to the awful state of the Club and just lashing out a bit
What’s odd is that nothing is, or has come out of th3 Club for many months…far too long…I just hope we face facts and not start blaming the RFL, the Council, or the fans…reality beckons I hope

Did I hear right at some point that we didn’t receive any money from match day hospitality and the figure was around £120k? Why are we not chasing this through the courts?

The shortfall is surely a Banking situation.
If the monies are due say in March and unless Sky/RFL go broke they will be paid.
A short term loan with the security of guarantees from the Board/RFL surely is possible or do I not understand the situation correctly.

Accounts in Nov 2023 show large d3bts, factoring, increasing short term loans, selling season tickets v early again, raising £1m via player sales and Community Share income; doesn’t seem to bode well
Special measures last year and this if other clubs agree
IMG Finance score v low
At best we’re using next years funds to pay off earlier debts…unless there are other major income streams next year it doesn’t just seem a small cash flow problem
But who knows…certainly nothing coming out of the Club

Looking at the current squad then the only prized possessions we have seem to be Brierley, McDonald and Marsters.
Given the news today and the lack of official word then it seems like at least 1 of these will be sold to keep the wolves from the door.
