www.skysports.com/rugby-league/news/12196/10520120/the-united-states-submit-2021-rugby-league-world-cup-bidFor me brilliant bit of news, hopefully by then the Toronto team would have progressed to SL or on the cusp of and maybe a team from the US based in the Northern Eastern area might follow suit. Few things though, do this in 2021 as pretty sure at some point soon the RU world cup will go to the States and then RL loses so many options. Avoid the NFL season and align each qualifying nation to a team, if say Ireland qualified they become involved with New England and base themselves in Boston, say England to the NY Giants and Australia to the NY Jets to create a local derby atmosphere and plenty of other nations to various NFL teams across the States. From experience I know that Detroit and Denver have a fierce rivalry so two Island nations go with them, all designed to make some genuine interest from locals. Get the NFL clubs picked to cross promote the games, get their own fans involved and use their massive marketing arm to help make it a big deal.
