Sadly lacking tonight, actually shockingly so.
I will put more into this tomorrow when I am being slightly more subjective but honestly at some points tonight it looked like we were waiting for someone to read us the Peter and Jane instruction book of basic rugby league skills.

Right now I've has time to process that shambles.
Tactics, we must have had 4 or 5 20 meter restarts last night and the lack of urgency to get the ball back quickly and try to catch the defence was appalling. Every kick off went directly to Grix or Brough who had a prop loaded to return the ball, variation is needed to keep the opposition guessing. Last tackle options were the worst I've ever seen, halves running the ball in heavy traffic, poorly directed and chased high kicks and a general lack of plan., the amount of times the bomb was put up with half the team unable to chase it because they were offside was criminal.
We look like a team who lack motivation for certain games, last night was another game we should have won but in effect as with Leeds we have given them a glimmer of hope of getting the 9th and 10th spot for the extra home games in the middle 8's. Really don't see why the management team can't seem to get the players motivated for certain games, hate to say it but for me at the end of the season a change in management personnel is needed, Huddersfield will steal a march though by getting Toovey.
I would be letting BMM go if there are any interested parties, looked like a world beater at first, now looks like he couldn't beat an egg, the sooner we get the kid from York on board and have some real scoot from the PTB the better, Tomkins is okay but doesn't really create anything. I'm changing my mind on a Gallen type signing as we need a real on field leader, Brough dragged Huddersfield through that game we need someone who will leave the players little option but to listen and do what he says - a leader by example.

Quite agree with Mchiganred. Although from Dobson's short kick off we got the ball back .Attendance, people won't pay to watch rubbish. We have been playing the same way all season, other teams have worked us out, especially Lui and BMM. I also have to agree with a lot of fans about Vidot, he has no pace, cannot bust out of a paper bag. The last two home matches we have come back strongly against Wigan and Hudds, but we need to be playing like that for the full 80 minutes.
I am quite down, losing the faith

I personally think Vidot looks more like a centre, put a MCB or Johnson outside him with lightening pace and he'd cause havoc, problem you have with that is 2 of our best players this season are Sau and Jones, Jones for me has to be the first name on the team sheet week in week out.

Mozza has said that Vidot is a flyer. Odd

Sometimes, Somethings just have to be said. Truthfully, there are players out there who really are playing like they don't give a toss and the horrendous attendances we're presently wincing at is notably a true reflection of this. If I was Koukash I'd be seriously pondering scrubbing the Salford name and looking at a new rebranding venture. The REAL Salford public has given up since the move from the willows. The Doc is pissing in a hurricane and the sooner he gets rid of the name the better. If people march on the streets protesting who cares, it'll only be a couple of thousand at best, however, it may scare people to come out of the woodwork if he ever threatened to eradicate the Salford name, so it could potentially be a good ploy to get the dormant support back, but if I'm perfectly honest, the Salford public have had enough. It's a shame but somethings just have to be said. Salford Rugby is ebbing away.

Disagree in part, it hasn't really been given a fair crack at the new stadium yet. So much bad luck and bad decisions, we had a chance at the start to get the marketing right but now I think that's gone. The only thing which will bring people back is a winning team, then the marketing, then people will be hooked.
I'm losing my positivity, this season is gone and I also fear for the future. But if mk is serious and stays, and sheens stays, and we can get a couple of important signings next season, who knows. Win something and we have a chance.
As for changing names, I'm not sure id be able to maintain my support. No reason why we can't tap in to the wider area without keeping the name salford.

Fair crack of the whip is not really that difficult to adjudicate. How long do you want Gadger before you'll recognise Salford are finished?. The attendances are slowly spiralling down each year. We had more spectators in the 2nd division at the Willows than at present. Just think back to when Koukash saved us from oblivion, was there a mad rush of fans flourishing to buy tickets into the ground? No. Nobody was bothered. Just the Die Hard 2000. There was a bit of interest the following season when Noble signed the mercenaries and we got off to a great start with a 6000 + gate against Wakefield, then the old Salford culture kicked in with the usual demise and finding a way to lose rather than finding a way to win. And since then it's started to spiral down to 1958 fans. I'm really considering watching Swinton when their ground gets developed which is only a stone's throw away from my house, That would feel more homely to me than the out of town sewage quagmire at the Eccles/Trafford border.
I wouldn't be surprised if that most of the die-hard supporters that frequent the empty stadium are made up of exiled reds who were born here but have moved away from the inner areas of Salford. So they are more drawn to the Stadium location because it's their only affiliation left with Salford. I'm not saying that nobody attends from the REAL inner suburbs of Salford. But it's lost it's main custom from the areas from The Height, Weaste, Seedley, Pendleton, Broughton, Ordsal, Hope., and definitely Swinton.
Could this support be drawn back? Who knows, with a total Seachange in big winning performances, followed by a massive Challenge cup final appearance, that's the only way I could potentially see a revival. So until then it's morbid spiral decline I'm afraid.

That's kind of my point, the move to the new stadium was handled so poorly, on the back of a terrible season and an awful last game at the willows. There was nothing done by the club to make the transition for fans easy, no real build up, just a massive missed opportunity. Compare that wjyh how other clubs handled their moves, and the positivity that came with it, like wire.
After marwan took over your right there was the wakey game we got a good crowd, if we had a good season top 6 I think we would have seen a decent average crowd, obviously the players had other ideas
Then again this season, actually some decent initiatives by the club, but the points deduction followed by a cup exit and poor form means it's been wasted.
I agree with you, it's going to take winning to get the crowds back. But we've not had that's luxury at the new ground. If we do, I think there's enough interest to get decent attendances again.
On a positive, it's only really the last 2 games which have been too hard to watch, and as fans we are fickle me more than most!! But I'm still hopeful sheens 3 year plan comes to fruition.

I'm guessing that the club will issue a ticket which covers all of the home matches for the middle-eights (£30/£40 depending on whether it's 3 or 4 games?) We'll certainly need as much support as we can get for those fixtures!
