Even though Leeds are dirt this season and rock bottom, our record against them is shocking and even though we should dump all over them I can see nothing but a traditional loss to the bottom team.

I pretty much agree with the Carnster on this. Leeds should have beaten us at home with goal kicking being their downfall that day with a few dubious decisions going against them. having a certain try chalked off.
I see a Leeds win. But we'll never get a better opportunity nowadays than doing a double over Leeds.

Can see McDermott using the fact that we beat them and that in all reality if they lose this weeks it's just about mathematically impossible for them to make the top 8 to motivate them tomorrow.
If I was a gambler I'd put a quid on that if we win tomorrow McDermott will be gone by their next game.

McDermott is Hull KR bound. Geoff Toovey to Leeds my sources are telling me. Yet to be announced due to Leeds vulnerability to qualify into Superleague. If the news broke it would jeopardise the players motivations for the remainder of McDermotts tenure. Toovey won't join unless Superleague status is achieved. Its unbelievable we're actually talking about Superleague status of Leeds Rhino's here.

Tonight takes on a whole new level of importance with Castlefords p!ss poor effort last night, lose and we can kiss goodbye to the top 8.
I find the whole top 8 and bottom 4 a stupid concept but would kill to make the it and give a royal 2 finger salute to the RFL and it's overly harsh 6 point deduction.

I suppose the 'must win' aspect of tonight's game is based on whether we get a reduction in the points deduction following the appeal.
Leeds are there for the taking and we should get the win. Fingers crossed.

Was away and didn't get to listen to the game, but can't see how a team with the likes of Vidot, Carney and Sau in it's backline can't score a try against a team who's defence has been made of well dunked digestives all season. Don't see how it can be but you wonder if for certain games motivation might be the issue? This was the type of game we should have walked out and felt like favourites and bossed a Leeds team who look shot to pieces. What we have done is consigned ourselves to the middle 8's and given Leeds some momentum to try and grab 9th position and the benefits that holds. The prospect of Salford, Huddersfield, Leeds, Hull KR, Leigh, Bradford and London (I think they will be very hard to beat in the big smoke) all scraping is daunting. We don't turn up for any of those games and a kicking awaits, as last year it very much depends on who we get to play at home and winning those games will be vitally important. That said we get the 6 points back and we'll win the whole thing  |
