I think a lot of people are making a lot of presumptions as to the content of the PC tomorrow, when in fact we know very little concrete evidence to what may be said. I think we need to see what transpires really as all we are really doing is speculating at the moment. Saying that, If MK does call on a no confidence vote AND has some damning evidence up his sleeve to back-up this claim, rather than just calling a vote because he doesn't like them. Then this will get very very interesting. I suspect that if evidence is forthcoming it rather forces the hands of CEO's that may be on the fence. The fact that he's been openly backed, albeit by those Chairmen with similar quarrel, is something that hasn't happened before.
Good or bad for the sport? Who knows. Maybe both in the short and long term.
Our sports governing body could do with a shake-up so you never know what may happen.

It is a natural instinct to retaliate if you think you are being singled out, undoubtedly we broke the cap and deserve some form of punishment but some of the other things the RFL have levelled at us are nothing short of scandalous, the points deduction for inadvertently having an extra man on the pitch being a prime example.Don't know why but still get the feeling it is to do with people who have no right to have sway over the RFL betting involved behind the scenes, particularly Hetherington and the way he seemed privy to the case against us of the cap breech. The way he's looking at it I'm sure is if they are berating us for certain things they must surely be whiter than white, if they are not then as the people running our game they should be held accountable. If it is handled in a professional reasoned manner I'm all for it, what I fear is an addled, expletive riddled rant which is not going to win us any allies and generate negative publicity. As I remember it wasn't a points deduction originally but a fine. The points deduction was only imposed when the appeal (unwise in my opinion) against the fine failed. If he does eventually decide to appeal against the points deduction (I think he's just threatened it so far) he should bear this in mind as the punishment could be increased.

This may seem a stupid question but has Marwan definitely appealed the points deduction. I tweeted him asking for confirmation and he didn't reply. He probably thought it was stupid question, too !

Seems to be a little confusion over this issue. He's said that this PC today is nothing to do with the point deduction. But strangely, other sources said that today is a PC about the salary cap issues. I think that other sources may have been putting two and two together and getting five. Especially since all this has been drip fed to the public over the last day or two.

There are a lot of rumours that the PC today is to show a vote of no confidence in the RFL. If this is the case, I really hope that there is some weight behind the statement rather than it sounding like a very annoyed owner having a rant.

Number one rule is don't start a fight you can't win. If he has the support,he'll know already, so it's fine to go ahead. If not,he's mad. You really can't go round proposing votes of confidence and then moan that the hierarchy have a down on you. Some of the more extreme rumours are too worrying to even contemplate so I hope there's nothing in them. Oh there,I've just contemplated them.

Question.
If what the Doc is currently saying about the RFL not de registering Jake Mullaney before they registered Locke and this causing the cap breach does the club get the option damages for the negative press this has generated and could the club claim the decision had a negative effect on performances since the deduction was announced?
I think there is a can full of worms just about to be opened.

* We were cleared of any salary cap breaches in 2016 or 2015 but a charge in 2014.
* Player A for a car, Player B for side payment, Player C and D for Rent payments and Player E for leadership training.
* The club was found not guilty for the car and no evidence for player B side payment.
* The RFL claimed the club should have declared rent payments for Player C and D and for money paid for Player E.
* Regarding Player E, the RFL knew about it in October 2014, why did they not take action then? They had known about it.
* RFL were aware of payment to a player of £32,900 and MK wants to know why action wasn't taken back then, not now.
* Another club went over the cap by exactly £158,060 in 2014. The people responsible for monitoring the cap are at fault. "A meeting took place and the RFL turned round and said to this club, no action would be taken. You can understand why I'm frustrated".
* RFL alleged that Salford were over the cap for 109 days. MK says they were only over between 9-17 July 2014.
* The July 9-17 breach is because the RFL didn't de-register Jake Mullaney in time when they signed Kevin Locke.
* Koukash "For me, when I look at why the RFL have done it. I would say they either have deliberately misled the judge or they're incompetent".
* Koukash "Dishing out a 6 point penalty despite the facts being in their possession almost 2 years ago. To charge us now is disgusting".
* Koukash "We want to appeal and last week we had asked the RFL whether they would consider referring the appeal to an independent body".
* Koukash spoke to lawyers this morning but is contesting the fact that the RFL want to see evidence of their appeal before it is put forward.
* Koukash on the RFL "Are they just going to charge clubs when it becomes public? Rather than when they have the evidence".
* Called into question is why Catalans are allowed 9 non-European players when the rest are only allowed 7. "I think Catalans is the RFL's baby".
* On Toulouse: "I'd like to ask the RFL a question. How come you're giving Toulouse more money than any Championship club"?
* "If the RFL aren't able to monitor the salary cap and administer it properly, then they aren't fit for purpose".
* Koukash says he will contact all colleagues (SL chairmen) by end of the week with a view to all meeting within the next two weeks.
* The RFL is about to hit Salford with a new salary cap breach for 2015.

Have Angela Powers and Mario ever been seen in the same room together?

Pleasantly surprised by his conduct, there does seem to be some very valid points and there does seem to be no little spite in the actions of the RFL.
Thought he strode a very fine line on Catalans but has only asked the questions fans have been asking for a while, think there is one vote he isn't going to get against the RFL.
