It needs a Netflix series to bring the sport to the fore. ‘Drive to Survive’ catapulted an already popular F1 into a new and much younger TV audience which they have largely retained. I know Sale Sharks, a few years back, were looking at doing some similar ‘behind the scenes’ docu-series. I always thought our 2019 GF season would have made incredible TV, a true rags to riches season but that’s history now and is only one club, this needs to be RL wide.
Salford City’s attempt had little impact in the end but Wrexham have a greater stage and US/global interest which is the difference so that is working to a degree
My daughter is good friends with Ellie Norman who was the brains behind DTS and was poached by Man Utd as their Comms Director. She left when Ratcliffe took over and I believe is at Formula E now.

Why is it always somebody else has to do it? We have to do it
Locally as has been often said on here…I d see any game advertising..
Simple things can be done easily but Leeds are employing a firm to develop their marketing…it needs addressing and communicating

However, unless and until the sport as a whole addresses our image and representation in the media nothing will change, except maybe a few hundred to one thousand added to the crowd. It won't be enough as economics and the nonsense that is capitalism will only make costs rise astronomically which is their job!

It’s not just the sport R, it’s us, other Clubs attract fans…we have to more and probably differently but we need to get some basics right first…and we need to move quickly.
I’m not sure what your political rhetoric is all about and I don’t want to know…leave all that stuff aside mate

I’m not sure what your political rhetoric is all about and I don’t want to know…leave all that stuff aside mate Once again it's not political rhetoric to say capitalism means increasing costs are bound to continue to rise to feed profit margins and that leaves many clubs struggling even among those with a benefactor.
Then again what's the point?

Anybody can make their own web series and either have it on website or have it on YouTube problem is nobody in rugby league thinks outside the box .. Warrington was doing good with the mascot advertising few years ago but not as much anymore and look at the rugby programs we had on sky boots n all gone and not replaced and then super league show on bbc finishes this year and I doubt that will be replaced seems like RFL aren’t bothered that they is less and less rugby league content on tv

That would ruin the only reason some post on here, they don't know how to be nice ... it's like that bride in that film!

RL suffers from a fan base that lacks enough disposable income so costs are critical, the game is alarmingly underfunded so costs are increasingly going to determine its ability to survive let alone compete or thrive. When you add all this to a woeful under representation in the media it's a recipe for decline.
IMG are of the opinion it's all the sport's fault and nothing to do exterior issues at all.

This is actually spot-on imo. While I think we need to be careful with political posts, and only because of their ability to de-rail other topics of threads. I scream into the void telling all you lot to use the off-topic thread to no avail. It is quite difficult to separate certain aspects of our game from politics, be that historically or in the modern era. Surprisingly, or not as it may be, we have a hot thread directly related to politics and our club in the stadium/finances threads showing directly the impact of politics in our tentative future. What really is the problem here is that we have some people who's politics clash and that's fine too as long as its parked in the right area of the forums. There's scant numbers of us as it is without falling-out on here too!

Why anyone would be touchy about similes, metaphors and analogies is incomprehensible and apart from one or two that's all they were reacting to.
Why politics is such a difficult thing to cope with is fascinating.
But nowhere near as important as SRD!

Sam Lisone seems to have a free reign to go round shoving his elbow into defender's throats. Leeds will finish sixth. I'm not having Leeds anywhere near the top 6.... Current table 4th - Saints 26 pts 5th - Cats 26 pts 6th - Salford 26 pts 7th - Leigh 23 pts 8th - Leeds 22 pts Run-in Saints - KR (H) lose, Hudds (A) win, Wire (A) lose, Cas (H) win, Leigh (A) lose (2 wins) Final: 30 Cats - Leeds (A) lose, Wigan (H) lose, Salford (A) lose, London (H) win, Hull (A) win (2 wins) Final: 30 Salford - Hudds (H) win, KR (A) lose, Cats (H) win, Hull (A) win, Wigan (A) lose (3 wins) Final: 32 Leigh - London (A) win, Wire (H) win, Cas (A) win, KR (H) lose, Saints (H) win (4 wins) Final: 31 Leeds - Cats (H) win, London (A) win, Hull (H) win, Wigan (A) lose, KR (A) lose (3 wins) Final: 28 So by my (probably incredibly flawed) predictions 4-6 will be Salford, Leigh & Saints (squeezing in by points difference). You know me, always the optimist.😎👹 Holy ****.... Mystic Slim strikes again!😳 Wish I'd had an accumulator on all these results....😥
