Disappointing result last night but that seems to be the norm when we are fancied to win or playing an understrength opposition. we're still in the top six, which any Salford fan would have taken at this point in the season. Take into account the timings of Brodie, Ackers and other departures and injuries, forcing us into the transfer market late I dont think overall it's too bad a position.
Top 6 will be an overachievement for me this year. We need other options in attack instead of everything going through Sneyd and Cust nor Atkin give us that. Atkin is much better off the bench. On the face of it we have done some decent recruitment for the back end of the season and into next year. Nikorima needs to start at 6 next week. Sidlow on loan at Oldham to hopefully get match fit and boost the pack.
Last point - I keep seeing or reading comments bout having a week off - where's this coming from ? looks like we play Cas at home next week and Leeds away week after.

Memo to Paul Rowley a) Bring back Rowleyball and take a few risks. Giants simple game plan was to play in our 25. b) Do not use Nene to drive out from own 25. His career will be shortened o/wise. c) Stop everything going through Marc. We are far too predictable. d) Speak to Marc about his last tackle kicks as currently very poor. More 40/20s required also. e) Invest in a taxi for Cade. f) Our line should be yards deeper with players running onto the ball. Agree with most of this although we can’t play Rowleyball off a beaten pack. Also using Nene as a forward is dumb. It’s time both Brierley and Cust were dropped, Hankinson is better at full back especially in defence and returns the ball. Cust can be let go now he’s offered nothing all year, Jayden has got to start next week. Having seen it back I have to say Jack Smith is bent, Singo was never a high shot and the other penalties given were soft, Hudds flopped continually and we’re never penalised once. Rowley needs to complain about Smith it’s not the first time and give the players a hard time last night was not acceptable. If you watched game you will have noticed that Singleton quite clearly hits him in the head. Blaming the ref for our turgid display is not on

The problem with Smith and Kendall is that they spend lots of time nitpicking around the ruck and consequently miss the constant offsides at the ptb and kicks…forward passes need to be picked up by linesmen
This is in complete contrast to NRL refs who continually tell players to get on with it at the ptb but really strict on offside; consequently teams keep 10m……needs a rethink of instruction from the Head of Refs.

But thanks cos you reminded me that the neither the game nor the reactions are as boring as sitting in a pub!

Blaming the ref for our turgid display is not on The Singleton tackle wasn’t the reason that we lost, but the sin binning didn’t help us and the inconsistency of the officials, especially the video ref needs looking into as in one of todays matches a high tackle that was a lot worse than Singletons resulted in a penalty but no yellow card.
