The predictable 10- to 15-minute routine of "Let's take it easy" and let them back in.
Thankfully, all went according to plan.

Outstanding performance by the entire team, for me Hankinson and MacDonald were brilliant, oh and Deon Cross had one of his best games, Sneyd was his usual Imperious best.

Just rewatchwd the tries, that Dufty is hilarious. He has to be the worst 1 on 1 defender I have ever seen in SL. The guy just throws himself to the ground. Makes Brierley look like Gary broadbent. On rewatch, big pat on the back to deon Cross. Really stepped up this year. He isn't a superstar but what he does he does well. He's got some pace, runs hard and scored a few beauties last night. I have been of the opinion he should just be a squad player, but if he keeps performing like that then he can keep the shirt for good and we focus on other areas to strengthen. Well played young man 👏

They all played well. Not often that happens. But worth mentioning MacDonald and Lafai, who were head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch. Hankinson was great at the back. Ryan had his best game for us. Sneyd being Sneyd. Considering our forwards are not the biggest they punched through Wire all night and the defence was the most ferocious I've seen in a while.
If we can bottle that attitude and apply it every week, we'd be swinging d1cks at the top the table.
Quick mention of Lewis who is a real grafter, and seeing him totally invested after Sneyd's try is enough for me to see he's going to be a good asset for us.

Our defence last night was outstanding. Really organised and when they did manage to get through a few times at the end the scramble was excellent. Can’t name a single player who didn’t play well. Seemed to be a decent turn out from us too. That was a really enjoyable night.

Agree with everything been said - don’t say this very often Ref was outstanding - I’ve never seen our team so disaplined, very few errors. Ref hardly blew his whistle! If we can play like this & cut out errors/penalties we can beat anybody.
Well worth the journey - roll on the Saints

I've just looked through Sky TV listings and there's not one replay of our game being shown all weekend yet all the other SL games seem to have at least 1 replay scheduled.🙄
Will just have to rewatch when it comes onto RDTV I guess which will probably be Monday.
Not got much to add on everything that's been said really about last night. There's another total meltdown on the Wire board today which is always amusing to see.😁
I think our fan turnout was slightly poor though last night, which was the only minor negative. Personally, I prefer away games to home ones as the atmosphere is generally brilliant, win or lose. Appreciate that it's extra cost for folk on top of season tickets etc and there are various other factors (family/mobility etc) to take into account but you just can't beat an away win at a local rivals ground and the joy of their fans wandering out after 55-60 minutes.😎
Really need fans to turn up in their droves for Saints match next week. The players deserve a cracking atmosphere after that performance. Hopefully we get decent weather as well to entice a few armchair fans out of the house.🤞
