Glad he’s staying but some of our fans are embarrassing going into complete meltdown. This diva behaviour based on speculation helps no one.

Glad he’s staying but some of our fans are embarrassing going into complete meltdown. This diva behaviour based on speculation helps no one. Nothing new there then. Unfortunately it's definitely got 100% worse since Social Media reared it's ugly head. As soon as someone spouts anything online it's taken as gospel and sadly then starts a tidal wave of misinformation, overreaction etc. It's why complete scumbags like Trump, Andrew Tate gets so much traction. People are unable to think for themselves anymore, it's tragic.

I think if hull beat Leeds at weekend this will rear its head again because smith will be gone!ive certainly heard we have some interesting signings lined up for next year including Liam Byrne as one of them!the only big downside is im still hearing the stadium deal is not close to conclusion im afraid the council are certainly not rushing into it as they don’t feel the club is on an even keel

The Mayor is 100% behind this deal getting signed off asap but it’s bogged down in admin treacle. They know the importance of getting the situation cleared up once and for all👹

Well I pay my rates to Salford and I don’t want them to rush and make the wrong decision , just as much as I don’t want the Club to commit to things it can’t fulfil and end up with a Plan £1m or so pounds out again If it takes time to get the right heads of agreement for all sides then it takes time. The Club should not rely on hand-outs.

The decision has been made and the council are acquiring 100% of the stadium so that is sorted. The only bit left is the legal stuff that anyone who has bought a house knows that it can take forever to complete and this purchase is on a whole different level. The club has to suffer in the meantime which is the painful bit for the fans👹👹 Every SL club bar Leeds relies on handouts

I find some of the reaction on here fascinating, with a very interesting choice of words to dismiss how people felt about the possibility of Rowles leaving. It was a real story and possibility not a rumour, not conjecture.
I think the reaction of those who were upset was not about Rowles leaving so much as the living same old story again and again.

The Club suffers presumably because it’s not planned for the fact that it takes time to complete a ‘ purchase on a whole different scale’. The City aids the Club but is not responsible for the. Club, that’s the role of the Board in its planning. Last year irs planning was a big chunk out leading to the need to sell players etc..it shouldn’t happen again.

Great news 😚🥳🥳🥳 by far the most valuable asset at the club. Unless there is something in his contract, am not sure why we put a value on him at all. Either way, great news. Onwards and upwards. Now we just gotta learn how to defend our edges

But it will happen again when clubs bigger than us are continually losing money even with better crowds it will keep happening rugby league is not a sport that makes good money.we get on average 3500-4000 Salford fans it’s simply not sustainable on those amounts and before jjr says the board should do more businesses are not interested in getting involved I have spoken to a couple of prominent businessmen and they have looked at the club and they have said not worth it they have seen the books said it’s not sustainable and they won’t make money!but as Paul king has said if anyone can do better step forward!
