Game day and we need a performance to backup Leigh - we have more than enough quality in the backs to win this easily. Lawler for them is a big loss, he will be replaced by Sammy Kilbula who is Championship standard at best.

We've won 4 of our last 5 at Wheldon Road and we're a better team than them. It's all about attitude tonight. Actually looks like it might be dry tonight for a change but I imagine the pitch is still a mess from the recent deluge so it might not be a free-flowing affair. |

Just watched Rowls press conference. Sidlow has a calf tear he's about 2-3 weeks off, Dudson has a calf strain 2-3 weeks off, Hankinson is 2-3 weeks off. Norfa had a tight hamstring after the Wigan game and has had a bug since. Hopefully he's fit to play today v Cas. Rowley has made it clear he wants him fully fit before getting a run out.

Nobody wants Salford to win more than me,but in the 72 years of following the team I have have left Wheldon Road disappointed when we have lost when i thought we would have won but been elated when we have won when I thought we would lose.I do think we should win tonight but it will not spoil the Black and Tan if we do not.

We have had a habit over the years of losing games we should be winning on form. We scraped past Wakey at home last year and there were a few other games where we didn't turn up like we had been in games previous. Tonight we've had a great and comfortable start then go and compress our defence (not for the first time this year) and concede a long range try. I still think we should we this quite comfortably though 🙏 EDIT: Looks like I may have spoken too soon. |

What is Bourouh doing there? He's lifted him and then you can see on the reply he puts effort into turning and jumping him. Luckily the lad got his elbow down otherwise he'd have been on his head and it'd been a red.

Not ideal, but that happens in plenty of tackles,.. but if we had 13 men, we'd have had another person in that gap defending the line. Such a bone headed play by Bourouh. He lifted him and instead lowering him he lifts further and tips. |
