Thought Sneyd was stand-out. But great efforts from Burrough, Hankinson, MacDonald, Singleton, and Ormondroyd. Thought all the forwards played their part as the conditions were a leveller. Allowed Sneyd to do his thing and he was clinical tonight. While Atkin did pressure us with a couple of key errors he was pretty solid in a role thrust on him at short notice. A proper grinded out win and a pleasing two points. I did think midweek that HKR had the advantage of playing against teams so far with red cards against them, and we'd be a sterner test, as proved the case.
Hats-off to the whole squad and backroom who seem to foster a great team spirit that really shines through and applies some pretty large band-aids over our financial spend situation. Just imagine what we could be like with a full squad and full spend...

Fantastic,controlled performance.
Full of hard work and played the conditions well.
Sneyd outstanding for a 2nd week.
Therefore a concern that he was shown holding his hamstring at the end of the game.

First half faultless, then thought with cross brainfart would come back and cost us, but our defence was brilliant the DG gave us that little bit of breathing space

I ve been over past 2 weeks v cas and kr
This Salford team is 100 percent committed for the shirt. The backroom staff and players deserve great credit. Today we played a good Kr team and deserved to win, with a total team effort. Players are stepping up and performing. Our small squad might go against us in the coming weeks but the players are showing me that if they are called upon they will give their all and if we lose it will not be for the lack of effort for the club and suporters

Totally agree, Atkimn coming in at short notice to FB shows exactly that, play anywhere and give there all, Saints at Saints next week, don't give the ref any excuses to give it to them, for once today our discipline was much better

87% completion Only 5 penalties and 8 errors but 40 missed tackles Oh and 2 points…up to 6th or 2nd equal When you think how early it is, in the season, that was as impressive as it gets. |

Russ of course a lot of that depends on the interpretation and pickiness of the ref with the rules but I hope we improve on the no of tackles missed. I’m sure it would have been different stats away from home
